Margaret Anna Ackerman
1843-1924
Margaret was born in Frankenstein, Germany, about 56 miles/90 km southwest of Frankfort, just near the western border of Bavaria. She immigrated to the US as a child or teenager, presumably with her family.
She became a naturalised citizen by her marriage to Hiram Benjamin Crosby who was a citizen by birth. She and Hiram raise their 10 children in New York City where Hiram practiced as an attorney.
